Terms & Conditions

Last updated 25 August 2026

The short version

  • Leasely is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. It formats a document from the answers you give.
  • You are responsible for what your document says and for checking it meets the rules where you live.
  • The app is free to use, provided as-is, with no promise that a document will hold up in any particular situation.
  • Your documents are yours. We claim no ownership over anything you create.

01Accepting these terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you and FC App Studio ("we", "us", "our"), covering your use of the Leasely mobile application and this website (together, "the Service").

By downloading, installing or using Leasely, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Service.

You must be old enough to enter into a binding contract where you live — generally 18 — to use Leasely to prepare a legal document.

02What Leasely is

Leasely is a self-service document preparation tool. It asks you a structured set of questions, takes your answers, and arranges them into a formatted document that you can export as a PDF. It currently offers eighteen document types across renting, business, money and personal categories.

Everything happens on your device. We do not review, approve, check, correct or store the documents you produce.

03Not legal advice

This is the most important term in this document. Leasely is not a law firm, is not a substitute for a lawyer, and does not provide legal advice, legal opinions, or legal representation. Using the app does not create a solicitor–client, attorney–client or any comparable relationship between you and us.

The templates and clause layouts in Leasely are general in nature. Tenancy, employment and contract law differ substantially between countries, states, provinces and even individual cities, and they change over time. Rules on notice periods, deposit caps, mandatory disclosures, rent increase limits, permitted grounds for eviction and required contract terms are all commonly local.

A document produced by Leasely may therefore be incomplete, unsuitable, or unenforceable in your jurisdiction, and it may omit a disclosure your local law requires. We make no representation that any document is valid, enforceable or compliant anywhere.

Before relying on any document for anything that matters, have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer licensed in your jurisdiction.

04Your responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

  • The accuracy and completeness of every answer you enter — the app cannot tell whether a name, address, date or amount is correct
  • Deciding whether a document type is the right one for your situation
  • Checking that the finished document complies with the law where you and the other parties are
  • Obtaining any signature, witness, notarisation, stamp duty, registration or filing that local law requires
  • Keeping your own copies — we hold none
  • Securing the device the documents are stored on

You agree not to use the Service to create anything fraudulent, deceptive or unlawful, to impersonate someone else, to reverse-engineer or decompile the app except where the law expressly permits it, or to resell or redistribute the app itself.

05Licence to use the app

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Leasely on devices you own or control, for your own personal or internal business purposes, subject to these Terms and to the rules of the app store you obtained it from.

You may use the documents you produce for your own personal or business purposes, including commercially — a landlord or freelancer may of course use them in their own business. You may not, however, repackage the app's templates as a competing product or service.

06Your content

Everything you type into Leasely, and every document you produce with it, belongs to you. We claim no ownership of it and acquire no licence over it.

This is more than a promise — it is a consequence of how the app is built. Your content is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us, so we could not use, disclose or claim it in any event. See our Privacy Policy for the detail.

07Coins and paid features

Leasely is free to download and use. The core documents, including the rental agreement, are not behind a paywall.

The app includes a coin wallet. Some document exports cost coins, and coins can be obtained within the app without payment. Coins have no monetary value, are not a currency, cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred between users or devices, and expire when the app is uninstalled or its data is cleared.

In-app purchases are currently disabled. If they are enabled in a future version, any purchase will be processed by Apple or Google under their own terms — we never receive or store your payment details — and refunds will be governed by the relevant store's refund policy, not by us. Any entitlement you had already bought would continue to be honoured.

08Availability and changes

We may add, change, suspend or remove features, including individual document types, at any time. We may require you to update to a newer version in order to keep using the Service, particularly where an older version has a defect.

Because the app runs on your device, it will generally keep working offline even if we stop operating the Service. Documents already saved on your device remain yours and remain accessible.

09Our intellectual property

The Leasely name, logo, app design, question flows, clause layouts and the software itself are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. These Terms give you a licence to use the app; they do not transfer any ownership to you.

10Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, to the fullest extent the law allows. This includes any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that any document produced will be accurate, complete, current, legally sufficient, enforceable or suitable for your circumstances.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or of consumer guarantees. Nothing in these Terms removes a right you have under consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded, and where such a law applies, our liability is limited to the minimum that law permits rather than excluded.

11Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunity, arising out of or connected with your use of the Service.

In particular, and without limiting the above, we are not liable for any loss arising from a document that turns out to be invalid, unenforceable, non-compliant with local law, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation, nor from any dispute between you and another party to a document, nor from any loss of documents stored on your device.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims is limited to the greater of the amount you have actually paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50.

12Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app. Doing so deletes the documents held in the app's storage, so export anything you want to keep first.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive — including "Not legal advice", "Disclaimer of warranties", "Limitation of liability" and "Our intellectual property" — continue to apply after termination.

13Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page, and material changes will be signalled in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Service.
